I develop over the years an image of gourmet and gourmand...restaurants hunting has been the only sport which I practiced on regular basis. Today when going to the small bar next to my office for lunch, I was able to have 1/2 salad... but it required a long explanation as the owner was extremely worried about my health when requesting such a small and healthy dish...are you ok? sure ?.... well at this stage I am still alive... a bit sour from the exercise, but ok and cannot wait to see how more ok I will become in the next 88 days:)
will introduced myself to the group in the coming days...new challenge tomorrow: keeping the not yet routine on the road...
Good luck on the road, Love!
ReplyDeleteAirports and shinkansen are pretty tough places to find good food, but if you look closely, you may be able to find fresh fruit, boiled eggs, organic onigiri...
Courage!

My default for healthy eating out in Japan is usually soba joints and go for the mountain veg set. But I suspect that might have to change because of the salt content! I'll be interested to hear how you do. Itterashai!
